You work directly with me, Julian Miller. I am the founder and creative director of South County Creative. I also partner with top talent in Social Media, Copywriting, Photography and other creative professionals on larger projects

I live and work in Dana Point, CA and work with businesses across Orange County and throughout Southern California. I know the local market in Southern California, but will take on remote projects nationwide when it is a good fit. If your local, then I am always happy to meet up in person to discuss your project.

I work mostly with established/mid-sized local businesses in Orange County and Southern California. This includes salons, boutiques, contractors/trade businesses, cafe's and ecommerce shops.

I also have enterprise-level experience, having built and managed sites with 120,000+ combined monthly visitors for large organizations.

The easiest way is to book a free 15-minute zoom or phone call with me. Customer service is everything to me so this is no pressure/no pitch. Just a quick conversation about your project so I can understand what you need and point you in the right direction.

Web Design & Development

I build on WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, and fully custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript — depending on what’s right for your business. I’ll always recommend the platform that best fits your goals, your budget, and how you plan to manage the site long-term.

I do both. Many of my clients come to me with old, outdated or slow running websites. Many which were from AI built or web designers oversees from Fiverr or UpWork. If your site looks old, loads slowly, or just isn’t converting or ranking high enough on search engines, then a redesign can make a significant difference. I’ll audit what you have and give you an honest assessment before any work begins.

Every site I build is fully responsive — meaning it looks and functions great on any screen size including phones, tablets, and desktops. I design with Mobile in mind since the majority of website traffic is on phones.

You can provide your own content, or I can help. I offer copywriting for all websites and can provide professional/copyright free photos that are not AI generated. For businesses that need branded photography or videography, I partner with local creatives in Orange County I personally know and trust.

Yes. I build e-commerce sites on Shopify and WooCommerce which is part of WordPress. I can build out small shops as well as large ecommerce store and integrate any additional features you may need like inventory tracking, enhanced dashboards, delivery driver scheduling and monitoring, or whatever you might need. If you’re looking to sell online, I can help you set up a store that’s easy to manage on your own or one I can manage and maintain as an additional service.

Branding & Identity

Everything from individual items to a full brand package that includes logo design, a develop a color palette, font selection, develop your brand voice, and a style guide to blend all digital and print material under a unified design.

I also offer logo-only work to create or redesign an existing logo as well as several colors, variations and layouts. This can be part of an individual service or full brand service.

A lot of businesses come to me with a logo they partially like but feels dated or inconsistent. Sometimes they only have one version and it becomes pixilated when enlarged or works only on light or dark backgrounds. With my logo service I will give you several layouts, ones for dark and light backgrounds, different sizes and svg logos that can scale to the size of a postage stamp to a billboard.

A website built on a weak brand often looks like it was assembled from parts. Strong branding will unify your design and help tell your businesses story. Most people need only half a second to see your website to make up their perception of you. Having clear colors, fonts, and a consistent voice makes a website feel intentional and professional. I prefer to establish or review your brand foundation before designing your site. It produces a better result.

SEO, AI Search & Local Search

Search engine optimization in 2026 in not just about ranking on page one of Google, or in the first 3 searches on Google Maps. AI Search and "no-click" options means many people are getting information through AI. At South County Creative, SEO is a combination of technical, on-page, and off-page work. This means keyword research, optimizing your page content and metadata, improving site speed and structure, building local citations, managing your Google Business Profile, and monitoring your rankings over time. We have several services from Basic Audits and one-time SEO services to 90 day service packages to ongoing SEO content management. SEO is an ongoing process.

Honest answer: most businesses start
seeing meaningful movement in 3 to 6 months. Some competitive markets take longer. At South County Creative, local SEO targeting customers in Orange County and surrounding cities tends to produce faster results than a broader SEO campaign. Customer service and satisfaction are incredibly important to me so I set realistic expectations from the start, document and generate progress reports, and show you exactly what we’re working toward.

They serve totally different purposes. Ads give you immediate visibility but stop the moment you stop paying. SEO builds long-term, organic visibility that compounds over time which search engines reward for the rest of your content that is not part of your Google Ads campaign. The two work well together, but relying only on paid ads is expensive, unsustainable and leaves out the rest of your website and business visibility. If you want to own your rankings rather than rent them, than SEO is essential.

Absolutely! Google Business Profile management is part of my SEO services. This includes setup, optimization, responding to reviews, adding posts and photos, and monitoring your local search performance. For businesses based in Orange County, this is one of the highest Return on Investment action you can do.

Website Maintenance

My website maintenance plans cover a variety of services: plugin and platform updates (WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Wix, etc.), security and spam monitoring, content updates (images and text), page updates (new pages, layout updates, etc.), bug fixes, speed optimization, backups, and general site health. Think of it as having a dedicated webmaster on call who knows your site inside and out who you can turn to when you need a quick website update or something goes wrong. Most workorder requests completed within 24 hours.

A website isn't something you build once and forget about. Content gets stale, plugins need updating, and things break — sometimes quietly, without you ever noticing. It is essential to keep current with platform updates, theme updates, security updates, and SEO changes. If you skip it long enough you will start to see slower load times, slipping rankings on search engines, broken webpages, and visitors leaving before they ever get to know you. Regular website maintenance protects everything you've put into your site, which is exactly why having an experienced webmaster in your corner makes a real difference.

That’s your call. I can build your site so you’re able to make basic content changes yourself, or you can hand that off to me entirely as part of my Webmaster Maintenance services. Many clients prefer to focus on their business and let me handle the site. A good question to ask your self is "how much is my time worth?" A quick number crunch should answer that question for you easily. But either way works for me. I’ll set things up based on how you want to operate and am flexible to make changes down the line.

That’s exactly what my webmaster maintenance plans are for! If something goes wrong, you fill out a work order form and it will notify me to make the update. I'm probably in front of my computer anyways so I'll make the update right away under most circumstances. My turn around is pretty quick and most issues are resolved the same day.

Yes. I offer hourly and project-based consulting for situations like this. My hourly rate is $75.00. If you’re not on a plan but need help urgently, reach out and we’ll figure out the fastest path to getting your site back on track.

Pricing & Project Process

Pricing depends on scope, platform, and complexity. As a starting point, my 5-page custom website package starts at $1,500 and e-commerce starts at $2,500 which is agency-quality work without the agency overhead and bureaucracy. Larger and more complex sites with specific integrations, custom code, and 3rd party application integrations are priced by project. Customer service and easy/open communication are incredibly important to me, so when we discuss your project I’ll give you a clear, itemized proposal before any work begins so there are no surprises.

Yes. Projects typically require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remainder due at launch. For larger projects, I offer payment schedules. There is a lot of work that is required upfront like research, wireframing, color, style, branding review, and content development. I’m always happy to discuss what works for your situation.

Most website projects go from kickoff to launch in 2 to 4 weeks. That said, the timeline is really a two-way street — the faster you can get me content and feedback, the faster we move. Larger projects will naturally take longer but I'll always set expectations upfront based on both my workload and your availability. If anything shifts along the way, I'll let you know before it becomes a problem. Communication is something I take seriously, and you'll never be left wondering where things stand.

At a minimum: a clear sense of who you are, what your current website is lacking, a few competitor examples of websites in your industry, and a wish list. Bonus points if you already have a logo and any brand assets you have, any content (text, photos) you’d like to use. Don't worry if you don't have all of this. Helping you figure it out is part and telling your unique story to clients is what I love doing.

This is exactly what structured check-ins and revision rounds are for. Before a single page gets built, I take the time to understand your business, your industry, and what you're actually going for — so we're aligned from the start, not just at the finish line. But if something isn't clicking or the direction feels off, tell me. Seriously, the sooner the better. I genuinely want to design something you are happy with and won't take your feedback personally if you are not happy with it. Honest feedback makes the final product better. My goal is to hand off something you're proud of, and I'll do everything I reasonably can to get there.
